Local Walks

Some days, we like to take walks in the local area. Our favourite destinations are shown in the map and table below.

We often take our morning tea or lunch (and sometimes both) and a picnic blanket with us in our wagon. Our first aid kit, water bottles, sun screen and a few spare clothes are always on board.

Children wear their red sun hats on all local walks and excursions.

The journey is as important as the destination, so we like to pause along our way to enjoy and examine nature around us, and rest and refresh ourselves. We pick up rubbish if we see it because we are keen to be green.

To get to our destinations, we walk through the park or along the sidewalks. We have special safety procedures near the creek, drain and for road crossings.

Parental permission for children to go on the local walks is given in your enrolment form.
